Election Day is on June 27, 2020 within the schedule of PSITE NCR’s Webinar Series Session 6. Voting hours is from 01:30 PM to 02:30 PM only.

THE OUTGOING NCR OFFICERS

PSITE NCR AY 2019-2020 Outgoing Officers. 4 seats will be open for election.

Outgoing PSITE-NCR Officers is announced to determine the number of seats open for election. For this year, there are 4 seats open for election. The top three elected officials will serve for a 3-year term and the fourth official for a 2-year term (for the vacated seat of Sheila Geronimo since she only served 1 year of her 3-year term).

THE NOMINATION PROCESS

The nomination process for the election of the PSITE-NCR Officers will be done online for a specific period of time. Validation of the eligibility of the nominee and the nominating person will be done after the closing of the nomination.  Each member is only allowed to nominate one (1) candidate and should be physically present (or virtually via online platform) on election day to make the nomination valid. The Membership Secretary will facilitate verification and validation of nominees.

THE NOMINEE

  • must be a PSITE NCR member;
  • no outstanding balance, has paid all his/her dues;
  • has attended at least two (2) activities within the region of the current school year excluding the attendance in the election day;
  • must be physically present on the election day.

THE NOMINATING PERSON

  • should be a PSITE NCR member of good standing who pays all his dues;
  • has attended at least one (1) activity within the region of the current school year excluding the attendance in the election day;
  • should be physically present on election day to qualify nominee as official nominated candidate.

THE OFFICIAL CANDIDATES

5 Candidates for PSITE NCR Officers Election 2020. Only 4 winners will take a 3-year term as NCR officers.

Verified and validated nominees will now be declared as Official Candidates for the NCR Officers Election 2020. The official candidates (in no particular order):

  • Israel V. Cariño – Jose Rizal University (Mandaluyong)
  • Rosemarie M. Coronejo – Far Eastern University (Manila)
  • Amelita M. Delos Reyes – Arellano University (Manila)
  • Noel E. Estrella – University of Santo Tomas (Manila)
  • Londren U. Velasco – Our Lady of Fatima University (Valenzuela)

THE ELIGIBLITY OF THE VOTER

The following are the criteria to be an eligible voter for NCR Officers Election 2020:

  • must be a certified member of PSITE NCR (AY 2019-2020);
  • must have no outstanding dues;
  • must have attended at least 2 PSITE NCR activities (MSW, Webinar Series, Outreach Program, General Assembly).

ELECTION METHOD

  • Qualified nominees shall be announced through PSITE NCR’s website and Facebook page and must be presented during the election day. The nominees and the nominator are required to be physically present before the election begins.
  • The PSITE-NCR officers (excluding those running for office) are the board of canvassers.
  • An electronic casting of votes will be used.
  • The top four candidates who will get the highest number of votes shall be declared winners. The top three elected officials will serve for a 3-year term and the fourth official for a 2-year term (for the vacated seat of Sheila Geronimo since she only served 1 year of her 3-year term).
