[ESS] Hear ye!! All roads lead to the IT Research for Publication Seminar!!!

The Philippine Society of IT Educators-NCR Chapter will hold the 1st Enablement Seminar-Series for Research (ESS Research 1.3) on 10-Oct-2011 at 8am-5:00pm at Technological Institute of the Philippines-Quezon City.

The “IT Research for Publication” is aimed at strengthening the IT educators’ research profile by developing their skills in ITE research development for publication in refereed journals.  To facilitate this, Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo, a graduate of Information and Telecommunications Engineering major in Distributed Systems at Kunsan National University – South Korea is the guest speaker for the seminar. As an IBM DB2 Academic Associate, CHED Republica Awardee 2010, research scholar, recipient of numerous research awards such as Distinguished Research Award, Best paper award, he is the best person to discuss acceptable areas of ITE research, the IT research structure, ACM writing format and the evaluation of the paper for publication. Furthermore, he is an experienced referee / evaluator for researches for international publication. As to date, he published 41 researches for international refereed journals.

Four workshop sessions will also highlight the event. The afternoon session will also feature the research output of Mr. Andrei Martin Diamante on “ The Status of ITE in the Philippines”.  Andre completed his MS in Informaiton Tcechnology at Carnegie Mellon University in 2008, and International Master in Industrial Management under the Erasmus Program at Royal Institute of Technology, Politecnico di Milano, and Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in 2011.
