IT educators were given the chance to do modeling! Well, technically that is.
Last 21-October-2013, the PSITE-NCR monthly seminar/workshop (MSW) was held at Trinity University of Asia (TUA) located at Quezon Ave., Quezon City and was coined “Basic Modelling Using Maya”. It was delivered by Ms. Abigail L. Alix, a MAYA Certified Professional and MAYA Certified Associate.
This one-day Maya workshop was intended to participants without any experience in handling the application, as it focused on the fundamentals of Maya such as Workspace and the Basics of Modeling. The participants, who came from different NCR HEIs, were given several exercises for familiarization and modeling, and were able to create their own polygonal model at the end of hte session.
Mr. Rosauro Manuel, Dean of College of Computing Studies of TUA, graced the occasion, gave the welcome remarks, and shared some bits of history as to how PSITE-NCR was born. With him in the first-ever PSITE-NCR Board, that makes him one of our “fathers” at NCR.
