[NEWS] Successful ESS on Content Management System at University of the East

PSITE-NCR chapter is especially grateful to have the active and most munificent assistance of the University of the East- Manila (UE) as host school for the second part of the Enablement Seminar Series on Content Management System using Joomla held on September 20, 2012 at Advance Laboratory B. “There would never have been such a positive response from the attendees if not for the generous support of Prof. Rodany Merida, Dean of the College of Computer Studies and Systems, and Dr. Shiela Geronimo, senior faculty of the college, who have been instrumental in the reservation of the venue, and for providing sumptuous lunch and snacks both in the morning and afternoon.”, said  Ms. Ma. Carmela Racelis, president of PSITE-NCR chapter.

Ms. Jasmin Niguidula, PSITE NCR VP for Faculty Development, presented the certificate of appreciation to UE for hosting the event.  Mr. Boogie Boydon, past PSITE National President, conducted the CMS session and hands-on training.  The hands-on seminar aimed at getting Joomla novices up to speed as quickly as possible. During the one full day session, the participants were able to navigate the Joomla interface, set up and organize Joomla content, add content articles with formatting and text, choose and use Joomla templates, and build a simple Joomla site.
