PSITE NCR Xmas Celebration

A fun-filled party yet with a worth-pondering message — that’s how the PSITE-NCR celebrated this year’s Christmas!

In the evening of December 5, 2008, educators from different schools in the NCR had their chance to unwind from the demands of their work and enjoy the company of one another.  Two energetic educators in the person of Ms. Rosemarie Coronejo and Mr. Jobert Bravo served as emcees and game masters of the night. The party started with an invocation by Mr. Jude Clemente, a PSITE-NCR Board member and followed by a welcome address by Mr. Jobert Bravo, the Coordinator of the CS Department of FEU-East Asia College, the venue of the party.

The attendees were treated with a buffet dinner showcasing home-cooked food.  Yum, yum….

The highlight of the night was an inspirational talk delivered by Bro. Mel Maldupana, a TV evangelist. With “Christ as Educator” as the message, the attendees were challenged to ponder on their roles as educators. Christ, being the greatest educator, can be a role model whom educators can emulate. According to the message, educators should grow in wisdom not only in knowledge; to grow in stature by maintaining a healthy living; to grow with God by always praying and meditating; and to grow with men by being forgiving even to enemies. In addition, even educators should continue learning, change for the better and remember always to be happy and be contented in life.

The evening went on with fun games — the PSITE-NCR version of the popular TV games, “Sa Pula, Sa Puti”, “Deal or No Deal”, and “Family Feud”. All the attendees had their chance to play games; the winners received cash prize while the losers settled with chocolates.

The celebration, which started at 6:30 pm, ended around 8:30 pm with a closing remarks by Dr. Bartolome Tanguilig, the PSITE National Auditor.
